Summer is a wonderful time to relax and recharge, but it’s equally important that our students keep their minds engaged. Research shows that steady reading and learning activities over the break help prevent the “summer slide,” ensuring children return to school ready to build on what they’ve learned.

To support you, we’ve curated a list of grade-appropriate books and extension activities designed to spark curiosity and strengthen key skills. We ask every student to:

  • Read each day—aim for at least 20 minutes.

  • Record each session on the provided reading log.

  • Complete one extension activity (project, reflection, or creative response) for every book finished.
