BOGCS Recognized Among America's Outstanding School Districts for 2026

Good afternoon, BOGCS Family!

I am excited to share some incredible news with our students, families, and staff!

The Barack Obama Green Charter Schools has been featured on the cover of The Education Magazine as one of America's Outstanding School Districts for 2026!

This national recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our entire school community. Every day, our scholars rise to the challenge, our teachers and staff work tirelessly to create meaningful learning experiences, and our families continue to support the vision and mission of our district.

As your Superintendent, I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished together. What makes this recognition even more special is that it tells our story—a story of perseverance, high expectations, opportunity, and a shared belief that our scholars deserve nothing less than excellence.

To our students, continue to push yourselves and take pride in your school. To our staff, thank you for the work you do each day, even when no one is watching. And to our families, thank you for believing in us and trusting us with your children.

We are proving that a small district can make a national impact!

I encourage everyone to take a moment to read and share our feature:

This is a moment worth celebrating, and I am grateful that we get to celebrate it together!

With pride and appreciation,

Mrs. Erin D. Murphy- Richardson
